Below is a basic currency exchange logic for HP's display of European Marketplace numbers.

The currency you chose in the Merchant Settings determines the currency displayed on your Main Merchant Dashboard when filtered by All Marketplaces. Select chosen Merchant Account if you have multiple, then select All Marketplaces, then click Filter.

NOTE: The resulting Total Sales and Est. Profit figures are converted & displayed in your chosen Merchant Settings currency when All Marketplaces is selected

Example #1: if you chose GBP as your unified UK Account Merchant Settings currency, the aggregate All Marketplaces view compiles:

  • all sales in .co.uk (sold & displayed in GBP),

  • all sales in .fr, .it., .es, & .de (converted from the Euro they were sold into GBP as well. They can thus be added to the aggregate total of sales in GBP.)

In this same Example #1 of a Unified UK Account with GBP selected as the Merchant Settings currency, if instead of All Marketplaces you choose .co.uk & click Filter, you will see only your sales made in the UK only, in GBP because sales happen there in GBP. However, if you select one of the remaining 4 countries, like .fr & click Filter, you will see the currency switch to Euro, since all sales are made there in Euro. The only time you’ll see any of these countries sales in a non-native currency is via the aggregate All Marketplaces view, where all figures are converted to whatever your Merchant Setting Currency is.

Example 2: if you chose USD as your unified UK Account Merchant Settings currency, the aggregate All Marketplaces view compiles:

  • all sales in .co.uk (converted from the GBP they were sold into USD),

  • all sales in .fr, .it., .es, & .de (converted from the Euro they were sold into USD as well. They can thus be added to the aggregate total of sales in USD.)

In this same example #2 of a Unified UK Account with USD selected as the Merchant Settings currency, if instead of All Marketplaces you choose .co.uk & click Filter, you will see only your sales made in the UK only, in GBP because sales happen there in GBP. Likewise, if you select one of the remaining 4 countries, like .fr & click Filter, you will see the currency switch to Euro, since all sales are made there in Euro. The only time you’ll see any of these countries sales in a non-native currency is via the aggregate All Marketplaces view, where all figures are converted to whatever your Merchant Setting Currency is.
