Why a Chrome Extension for importing Unit Session Percentage data?

HelloProfit is unable to retrieve this critical information via Amazon's API, so we offer this Chrome Extension method to import your Unit Session Percentage data and integrate it with the HelloProfit interface you know and love. Other softwares utilize different methods for this or similar tasks, sometimes by asking you to create a new Seller Central User account with limited permissions. We've implemented our own innovative route for bringing in this data, which avoids us needing to ask any extra access your Seller Central account.


IMPORTANT: Amazon makes today's Unit Session Percentage data available TOMORROW, so your Unit Session Percentage statistics in HelloProfit (or on Seller Central for that matter) are only available for yesterday and earlier.

After downloading the most current version and installing in your Chrome Browser:

  1. Log into your HelloProfit account.
  2. In a separate browser tab/window, log into your Seller Central account as normal. If you have multiple Seller Central accounts, the HP Chrome Extension will automatically download unit session data for whichever Seller Central account you're logged into at that moment.
  3. Click the HP Chrome Extension Button. It will a) verify you are properly logged into HelloProfit, b) detect which Seller Central account you are logged into (if you have multiple), and c) indicate how many days (reports) still need to be imported into that particular Seller Central account:

To bring all your Seller Central accounts' data up to date, you'll need to log into each Seller Central account sequentially, waiting for the Extension to tell you that particular account it up to date (can take hours or more, depending on how much data and how many weeks/months/years of data need to be imported). Once one account is up to date, you can log OUT of the finished Seller Central account, and INTO the next Seller Central account that needs syncing. That's all you need to do: stay logged into both your HelloProfit account, AND the Seller Central account you wish to sync. HP Extension Magic takes over from there.

Then...check out your new Session Data in HelloProfit! You'll see your Unit Session Stats populating on your Product Dashboards and Product Stats page. Data is pulled from Amazon for the oldest dates first (up to 1 year ago from today), working forward to current. If your HelloProfit account is still in the trial phase, you will be able to see unit session data corresponding to the limited timeframe of data allowed under trial.

On your Product Dashboards you'll now see "Sessions & Stats" on the top right:

You'll also see some useful graphs like this one below on your Product Dashboard, comparing your Session Count to Unit Session Percentage (useful to detect spikes in traffic, compared to how valuable/converting that traffic was for you)...

You'll also see some dedicated columns in your Product Stats page, revealing the Sessions, Session Percent (meaning the Percent of your Seller Central's overall Sessions that this ASIN accounts for), Page Views, Page View Percent, Buy Box Percentage, Sessions, and of course Unit Session Percentage.

IMPORTANT NOTE 1: HelloProfit can only display Unit Session Percentage Data for timeframes that you've already downloaded the data. If you see "gaps" of Unit Session Percentage data, simply make sure 1) the Extension is enabled, 2) you're logged into HelloProfit & 3) you're logged into the Seller Central account with the gaps. The HP Chrome Extension will handle the rest.

IMPORTANT NOTE 2: Ensure the Extension has pulled in ALL unit session data relevant to the Seller Central account you wish to analyze, using the same 3 steps as above. If the Extension indicates your data is not yet fully up to date, there are gaps in your data which render as zeros in the HP database. These zeros are temporary placeholders which will be filled in with your real data once the Extension finishes its work -- but in the meantime they will skew your data if you're trying to analyze a date range that still includes these zeros.
